Vertical alignment

The vertical alignment of inline, inline-block, inline-table, and table cell components can be changed with ease.

The utilities for vertical alignment allow to change how items are aligned. Note that only inline, inline-block, inline-table, and table cell elements are impacted by vertical-align.

As required, pick from the following options: .align-baseline, .align-top, .align-middle, .align-bottom, .align-text-bottom, and .align-text-top.

Use the flex box utilities to vertically center non-inline content (such as <div>s and more).

With inline components:

<span class="align-baseline">baseline</span>
<span class="align-top">top</span>
<span class="align-middle">middle</span>
<span class="align-bottom">bottom</span>
<span class="align-text-top">text-top</span>
<span class="align-text-bottom">text-bottom</span>
RESULT
baseline top middle bottom text-top text-bottom

With table cells:

<table style="height: 100px;">
  <tbody>
    <tr>
      <td class="align-baseline">baseline</td>
      <td class="align-top">top</td>
      <td class="align-middle">middle</td>
      <td class="align-bottom">bottom</td>
      <td class="align-text-top">text-top</td>
      <td class="align-text-bottom">text-bottom</td>
    </tr>
  </tbody>
</table>
RESULT
baseline top middle bottom text-top text-bottom
